Executive Assistant to the President & CEO
Stephanie Ann Russell joined DMAI in February 2005. As Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, Stephanie is responsible for the overall management of the Executive Office while ensuring that the day-to-day activities and schedule of the President & CEO are accomplished. Stephanie also works closely with the Office and Project Manager to assist with streamlining the management of the office and its procedures. During Stephanie’s down time, she serves as the Board Liaisons to the DMAI Board of Directors and Foundation Board of Trustees. Annually Stephanie coordinates the Nominating Committee process with DMAI Leadership in the selection process for future leaders.
Prior to Stephanie’s journey at DMAI, she worked for Special Libraries Association (SLA) where she served in a similar role as Director, Executive Office Relations for 12 years. Stephanie has many years of experience in the administrative management field. Stephanie is a member of the National Council of Negro Women Inc. (NCNW) and is very involved in her church, community and local government. Very involved in her community, Stephanie recently accepted a position to serve on the Housing Authority Board with the Charles County Government. Stephanie lives in Charlotte Hall, Maryland.

First job in the tourism industry: Part-time clerk at EconoLodge Hotel, but that was many years ago
Three things that are always in your suitcase: An extra tote bag just in case I go shopping, my favorite snacks and toiletries/smell goods
Best travel tip: Pack light and smart - always be prepared for the unexpected!
Aisle or window: Aisle - I like to see what’s going on just in case I need to get up and help. Also, good for trippin folks.
Planes, trains or automobiles: Trains and automobiles…I’m a people watcher; I love to see folks coming and going. On the plane I’m stuck with the same folks for hours.
What do you do with your free time: Everything….working in my yard, hanging with my peeps, reading, volunteering and traveling.
