Kyle Edmiston, Assistant Secretary for the Louisiana Office of Tourism
Kyle was appointed by Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne as the Assistant Secretary for the Louisiana Office of Tourism on May 1. Prior to that, he served as President/CEO of the Ruston Lincoln CVB for 6 1\2 years. He has a degree from Louisiana Tech University in finance with a minor in accounting. He has served the tourism industry as the Vice Chair, Treasurer, and secretary for Louisiana Travel and Promotion Association and has served on the executive committee and board of directors of the Louisiana Association of CVB’s where he was President during 2009.
He currently serves on the board of directors of the Southeast Tourism Society, where he is Vice Chair for Louisiana, serves on the board of directors for the US Travel Association, serves on the membership committee for Destination Marketing Association International, and serves on the National Council of State Tourism Directors.
While in Ruston, he served on the Dixie Center for the Arts board of directors, the North Louisiana Exhibition Center commission, the Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival committee, the Eddie G. Robinson Museum commission, and is a member and former President of the Rotary Club of Lincoln Parish.
