Jason Fulvi


Executive Vice President, VisitPITTSBURGH

Jason Fulvi is the Executive Vice President of VisitPITTSBURGH (formally the Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau). In this leadership role, Jason is responsible for key operations within the organization, and oversees several departments, including Convention Sales, Convention Services, Partnership Development and Research.

Previously, he was executive director of convention sales where he managed the team responsible for convention sales for Pittsburgh and the entire Allegheny County area.

Prior to joining VisitPITTSBURGH in 2002, Jason was Assistant Director of Sales for the Hilton Pittsburgh (currently the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown). With more than 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jason has served in a variety of positions including: Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh International Airport, Account Executive with TravelOne, Account Executive with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Sales Manager at the William Penn Hotel and in several capacities at the the Vista International Hotel Pittsburgh (currently the Westin Convention Center Hotel).

Jason is a Pittsburgh area native and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. In 2007, Jason became a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME). The CDME status is recognized within the convention and visitors bureau industry as its highest educational achievement. Jason served two consecutive terms as the Chair of DMAI’s Sales and Marketing Committee and was previously the chair of DMAI’s Meetings Industry Network Committee (MINT).

In 2010, Jason graduated from the Leadership Pittsburgh program. He is actively involved with ASAE as a committee member with the Industry Partner Alliance, a member of the PCMA Advocacy Committee, Board Member for the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Western Chapter, and active member of Pennsylvania Association of Travel and Tourism and a registered Lobbyist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A dedicated member of the Pittsburgh community, Jason sits on the board of Tickets for Kids and is a member of the Food and Nutrition Committee for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
