100 Years of Advancing Destinations

Foundation Student Work/Study Program

The Destination & Travel Foundation has begun a pilot project with Purdue University’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program to provide students with real-work scenarios from DMOs.

As part of the program,  DMOs will provide a two-page case study describing a particular business issue or problem on a variety of topics.  Students will discuss the scenarios in class and small groups and return to the DMO a written analysis of the issue based on the student’s research and perspective.

Projects will be considered for two different courses, Introduction to Tourism and Introduction to Management and Organization Behavior.  The following is a list of sample projects that might be considered appropriate for each course.
