DMAI's empowerMINT Now Boosts Your HelmsBriscoe Partnership

Monday, April 22, 2013

WASHINGTON, DC -- HelmsBriscoe's 2013 Annual Business Conference culminated in a newly released content syndication program between DMAI’s empowerMINT initiative and HelmsBriscoe (HB), an agency known for assisting their clients do more with less by streamlining the meetings procurement process.

The program gives HB’s DMO Partners who are also empowerMINT subscribers additional exposure by making all four pages of the DMO’s empowerMINT destination profiles (see right) directly accessible within two of HelmsBriscoe’s primary research tools,Partner Destinations and In Site

This added content will make it easier for over 1,200 HB associates to find not only consistent data about your destination, but also direct contact information for your DMO sales professionals.

Armed with key information at their fingertips, HB associates will connect directly with DMO sales professionals who are best equipped to answer any questions associates might have about their localized product and service offerings – a service funded by tourism tax dollars, thus passing no additional costs on to HB clients.

DMAI’s empowerMINT team has proactively worked with HB to open doors between DMO sales professionals and HB associates with the goal of providing the end client with a successful meeting.

“empowerMINT is always looking for new ways to support third-party planners with their local research and connect them with DMOs,” said Michael Gehrisch, President and CEO of DMAI. “Having a destination profile and contact information in empowerMINT.com within In Site creates a seamless opportunity for HB associates to tap into the incomparable local expertise that only DMOs have on their respective destinations.”

The leadership at HB understands the unique value the DMO sales professionals bring to third-party associates, and are pleased to support the value DMOs bring to help HB associates become fully knowledgeable about the destinations and their options before sending RFPs to multiple hotels and venues.

Therefore, empowerMINT is providing supporting webinars to train both HB associates and DMO sales professionals on “Working Better Together.” Be on the lookout for the training schedule to be released shortly.
