Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) has contracted Danielle Foisy to lead exhibit sales for the organization's Destinations Showcase event. Ms. Foisy is well-known within the DMO industry, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organization.

In her most recent role as Director, U.S. Northeast Sales Development for Business Events Canada, Danielle helped various organizations navigate the “ins and outs” of bringing a meeting or convention to Canada and contributed in positioning the country as the #1 international destination for Northeast Associations. Additionally, she facilitated collaborative opportunities with industry partners to increase visibility and meetings and convention business to Canada.

"We're delighted to have Danielle join the DMAI team and help transform Destinations Showcase to provide greater value for both the meeting planner and DMO community," said Charles Jeffers, Interim President & CEO of DMAI.

Ms. Foisy recently served as Chair of the CESSE Sponsor Advisory Group and throughout her distinguished career, she also served on various key committees and boards, including MPI’s International Advisory Council and as Chair of ASAE’s Meeting and Exposition Council.  Furthermore, she was named an ASAE Fellow in 2013, an honorary recognition bestowed upon less than 1% of ASAE's membership. Ms. Foisy studied Tourism at Granby College in Quebec and additionally obtained the designation of Certified Association Sales Executive, a certificate program owned and managed by PCMA.

DMAI has also contracted Anne Swoboda to assist with the organization's marketing and communications efforts. Anne has more than nine years of experience as a social media and digital marketer in the tourism industry. Bringing a strategic and analytical approach, Anne has created social media strategies and campaigns for many destinations and received online press mentions for her “CVBs on Pinterest” research by Social Media Today and LA Times. Two of her proudest achievements are being the founder/manager of the Tourism Geeks Facebook group and cofounder of #tourismchat, a monthly Twitter chat focusing on social media in the tourism industry.
