Darren Rudloff, CEO, Visit Cheyenne
Darren Rudloff is the CEO of Visit Cheyenne, and has been promoting tourism for the city and Laramie County since 1997. Rudloff led the effort that earned Visit Cheyenne the highest industry accreditation, Destination Marketing Accreditation Program, from DMAI.
His marketing efforts resulted in two Adrian Awards from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International: Bronze Award (2011) in Public Relations to Visit Cheyenne and Tucker & Associates and the Gold Adrian Award (2013) in Digital Marketing to Visit Cheyenne and Madden Media. His recent professional presentations include DMAI Annual Convention (DMO Product Development Efforts: Seattle 2012), Civic Tourism II Conference (The Role of CVBs in Visitor Product Development: Providence 2008), and National Park and Recreation Association Congress (Mobile Technology for Parks and Rec Departments: Atlanta 2011).
Before coming to Wyoming, Rudloff worked in the Texas Department of Tourism for nine years as Research Coordinator, Product Development Coordinator, Deputy Director and, finally, Director. In Texas, he developed innovative marketing projects, including the award-winning “Texas. It’s Like a Whole Other Country” advertising campaign. He has a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Texas and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M.
