Within large and small cities across the nation, you’ll generally find two organizations charged with marketing their community to the outside world. The destination marketing organization focuses on attracting visitors. The economic development organization concentrates on drawing companies to invest in the city. Their target audiences couldn’t be more different, but when you get right down to it, the two groups share common goals.
